Why we built Portmoneo

Most expense apps demand bank credentials or bury freelancers in team workflows. We wanted a tool that works on a plane for logging, recovers VAT across real jurisdictions, and still exports a clean spreadsheet for tax season.

Who writes our guides

Guides and comparisons are written by Mihai Dumitru — the same team that ships the Android app. We test OCR on faded thermal paper and real travel receipts before we publish claims.
